Trying to catch a break and build your portfolio, or just saving up a little cash to finally get your hustle up and running, can be extremely challenging as a young person in Kenya.

Unlike what we see on TV or in movies, waitressing, being a sales assistant or even baby-sitting really aren’t an option for the majority of youths because let’s face it - the way our economy is set up, we would be competing with people doing those jobs full time as a means to support their families.

To make it worse, there is a real reluctance to give young people a chance. This is human, we like to be sure that the services we will be receiving (and paying for!) will not disappoint.

So what do we do? Visit the same restaurant / bar, order the same meal, over and over and over and over…. you get the idea. It’s boring!

That leaves us with a dilemma: how do we bridge the gap between the budding entrepreneur and the individual seeking new and exciting experiences?
